Nitrogen, usually a colorless, odorless, odorless gas, is usually nontoxic. Nitrogen accounts for 78.12%(volume fraction) of the total atmosphere. At room temperature, it is a gas. At standard atmospheric pressure, when cooled to -195.8℃, it becomes a colorless liquid. When cooled to -209.86℃, liquid nitrogen becomes a snow-like solid. USES: chemical synthesis (synthetic nylon, acrylic fiber, synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and other important raw materials), automobile tires (nitrogen can effectively reduce the noise of tires, extend the service life of tires). Due to the chemical inertness of nitrogen, it is often used as a protective gas, such as: melon and fruit, food, bulb filling gas.

Use of nitrogen

Nitrogen is used as raw gas, protective gas, displacement gas and sealing gas in metallurgy, chemical industry, light industry and electronics sectors. Liquid nitrogen products are also widely used in food freezing, vegetables and fruits preservation. It is also widely used in agriculture and animal husbandry, such as storage of grain for killing insects and freezing and preservation of semen from well-bred livestock. It's the stuff that makes up the proteins in animals and plants.
